Senior SOA Consultant

Responsibilities:

  • To define Service Oriented Architectures based around Oracle Fusion Middleware Technology to meet client requirements.
  • Understand and articulate SOA solutions to clients.
  • Work with clients to articulate the advantages and disadvantages of various architectures / solutions
  • Understand and demonstrate selected platforms and be able to show how they support proposed solutions
  • Advise clients on their architectural roadmap for the future
  • Oversee the creation of the Detailed Designs
  • Provide technical oversight during implementation and transition / commissioning phases
  • Work with the Inatech Solutions account team to exploit opportunities for cross and up sell within existing clients and provide technical input and advice across pre-sales opportunities, including contributing to the generation of proposals
  • Act as a technical lead/subject matter expert on Service Oriented Architecture within the UK Technology Practice
  • Contribute to project planning and project management as required
  • Lead the technical team, including sales consulting & development team in defining, & managing the implementation and service delivery systems for trials or proof of concepts

Accountabilities:

  • Translate customer requirements into deliverable products and services
  • Act as a technology evangelist both internally and externally
  • Review invitations to tender and advise in line with specialist practice area as required
  • Use the appropriate implementation methodology as required as part of the consultancy solution
  • Assist in the creation of appropriate project and resource plans, leading to successful solution delivery
  • Lead proof of concept technology projects
  • Proactively maintain knowledge of current and future products/ solutions offerings by active involvement in the Oracle SOA Partner community and other Oracle / industry organization s related to Service Oriented Architecture
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for cross and up selling
  • Publish materials on the Inatech blog relating to SOA and related technologies
  • Represent Inatech Solutions at events such as OUG exhibitions as required

Essential Experience / Background:

  • 10-15 years experience in the IT industry
  • Previous consulting experience, with strong client facing and customer skills
  • Experience of architecting large projects in a Service Oriented environment
  • Team Leading experience, strong interpersonal skills
  • Presales experience
  • Willingness to travel
  • Strong knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture
  • Experience of integrating applications within a Service Oriented Architecture (e.g. Oracle eBusiness Suite)e
  • Oracle 9iAS/10g AS App Server Skills (11g would be an advantage)
